The Bramley Cottage Annual Charity Day
In the intervening years we have held our Charity Golf Day annually at The Abbey Park Golf & Country Club and grown it into a fun filled large scale affair that has attracted sponsorship from local businesses and individuals.
Over the years that we have held our Charity Day the Society has raised over £28,000 for both Local and National organisations such as:- The Friends of the Alexandra Hospital (Redditch), Cancer Research UK, The MacMillans, Mockley Manor Hospice, The Royal Brompton & Harefield Charity Trust, The Brain Charity, The Pink Ribbon (Breast Cancer) Charity, The Primrose Hospice, The Prostate Cancer Trust, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Sense, The Shakespeare Hospice, S Mary's Hospice, Motor Neurone Disease and Baby Ava's Foundation.
Whilst we take our commitment to raising money for charity seriously we don’t take ourselves, or our golf, too seriously at all and our intentions are always to have a ‘good craic’ whilst helping others less advantaged than ourselves
As ever the 19th Hole is sponsored by Ember Inns and the there will be food and entertainment at the Bramley Cottage on the evening with more chances to win prizes and raise money for charity
This year our main charities are The Baby Ava Foundation

Rules
Handicaps: The competition will be played from a 3/4 handicap and will be a stableford event, if you have an official handicap then this will be used, if you do not have an official handicap then your Bramley Cottage Handicap will be used.
Please record all scores even if they are blobs to be eligible for the 4 ball Trophy & Prizes, no need to work out stableford scores this will be done in the clubhouse after.
The 4 ball competition with be worked out on the 2 best stableford scores in that 4 ball, Obviously the individual prize will just be based on an individual’s scores, with the 3 highest overall scores winning prizes, Cards must be marked by another member of your 4 ball.
Hole 18 must be played of the Specified tees for both men and women in order for the hole in one prize to be valid.
IMPORTANT – If you lose your ball spend no longer than 2 (not 1) minutes looking for it. If you don’t find it in 2 minutes regard it’s as ‘lost’ and drop a ball where you believe it became ‘lost’. Your next shot with your dropped ball will now be your 4th shot (under the Stroke & Distance Rule). If you think you might be in trouble of not finding your ball off the Tee then play a ‘provisional’ ball (3 off the Tee). If you find your first ball you may continue with it playing either your 2nd shot, or, if the ball was in a hazard (water) your 3rd shot. If you don’t find your first ball your ‘provisional’ ball is now the ball in play and your next shot will be your 4th.
Most importantly though, HAVE FUN
